Create a charitable on-line auction spotlighting and featuring one of a kind, can’t normally be purchased items and opportunities to be auctioned off with all proceeds to benefit the Buffalo Alliance for Education’s “Field Trip Fund.”

About the Field Trip Fund:
The Buffalo Alliance for Education “Field Trip Fund” enables children to leave the confines of the classroom and observe and experience hands-on activities that they may otherwise only learn about in books. Field Trips expand learning by giving students access to the real thing and providing a setting for the practice of observational skills, to awaken curiosity and inquiry. A good Field Trip can bring classroom lessons to life.

Since the implementation of the Buffalo Alliance for Education “Field Trip Fund” in 2001, well over 120,000 students and 350 schools have been given the opportunity to take Field Trips. 95% of Teachers have said that without the Buffalo Alliance for Education “Field Trip Fund” they would not have been able to send their students on a Field Trip. Most of the schools that utilize this program are high poverty and high needs schools.

For many students the school Field Trip is the only opportunity to visit a museum. It is one more way to provide equal opportunities and level the playing field for all students. Field trips introduce students to different worlds which can be enjoyed throughout their lives. They provide an entrance into an unfamiliar world to which the students may introduce their parents, grandparents and friends. As a direct result of the Buffalo Alliance for Education “Field Trip Fund” over $86,900 in revenue was generated last year at our “Field Trip Fund” Sites. All of these sites contribute to the economic vitality of our community and enhance our quality of life.
